Ava's Favorite Snowball Cookie Recipe
"Still groovin' after all these years..."
Snowball Cookies (Russian Tea Cookies)
I don't know where my mom got this recipe from, but
everyone on my cookie list waits for Christmas so they
can get a taste of these scrumptilli-icious morsels!
1 cup butter (margarine just won't do!)
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon vanilla
6 tablespoons sugar
1 cup chopped nuts
o Mix sugar and butter until creamy
o Add the vanilla to mixture
o Add nuts
o Add flour a little at a time while mixing
o Roll into approximately 1" balls
o Place balls on cookie sheet and flatten (about 1/3" thick)
o Preheat oven to 325 degrees
o Bake for approximately 15-20 minutes
o Roll cookies in powdered sugar while still warm
They're deeeelicious __ and fattening, too!
Ya didn't think I got this rotund figure from
eating peas and carrots __ did ya?! :P
